I'm going diving

Do you know if any of the coral you're obsessed about is edible? If not, can you try some and let me know? Thanks, buddy.

I don't think corals are edible. Stony corals are mostly calcium carbonate skeleton--the only living part is the flesh draped over the skeleton surface

how deep did you get? what did you see? what was your preparation like?
Deepest ~100ft
Saw a lot of corals and fish; also some anemones w/ clownfish/shrimp, nudibranchs, a shark, and some eels
Preparation was I had to assemble my camera equipment and put the weights in the weight pockets. We rode a boat to the dive sites, then suited up and put on our BCDs.

Did you collect or were you too pussy? Is there any way for you to collect critters abroad and bring them back with you? I've always wished to do that but jewish rules ruined all fun for sea creature lovers like us. I went to the beach today and collected snails and urchins for my aquarium

Fiji recently reopened for corals, but you still need a CITES permit to collect and export. I know other people like Jake Adams have collected corals in places and sent them home, but the corals probably had to be sent through a coral exporter with a CITES permit.
