Finish and deliver knits to the local hospital for NICU/OB & oncology patients. Send a hand-knit hat to someone. Be a light and encourage others. Gift an “interview outfit” to a former student and young professional currently applying for jobs. Always have hand warmers with you to give out on frosty days & nights. Offer to pay for other kids’ field trip fees for your oldest daughter’s classroom. Pick up garbage in my neighborhood on your next walk. Fill out a positive review to help a small business. Share vegetables from your garden. Bake muffins for your local hospital. Mow a neighbors lawn. Paint rocks and write happy thoughts on them and leave them around a park. Take washed & neatly folded extra blankets to your local women/family shelter. Hold the door for someone. Take treats/snacks to the counselors at a wellness center. Take some positive message stones that you painted and drop them along the way on your walk. Check in with your elderly neighbors. Send a care package to a young cancer patient. Drop off some home baked treats at the house of a neighbor you don’t really know. Take birthday donuts to your nail salon. Thank your co-workers for working so hard, especially during this past year of unexpected and difficult challenges. Prepare and deliver hygiene kits for homeless. Purchase a small bouquet of flowers for a random person. Deliver healthy oatmeal cookies to a friend in need. Volunteer to babysit for mom’s day out. Donate coats to the women shelter. Get the dishes done at your parent’s house. Drop off cards and art supplies to a nursing home. Donate coats to the women’s shelter. Pay for the person behind you at Starbucks. Offer kind conversations to those who are alone. Make cards with your children and give them to your mailman, garbage men, and our other local community members that don’t always get recognized or appreciated. Say I love you to your dad. Bring in your neighbor’s garbage can. Donate clothes. Have a lasagna sent to your friend who just lost her husband to COVID. Bake and share. Help your neighbor with their groceries!! Offer to drive anyone who needs a ride to a covid vaccine appointment. Offer to pay for someone’s coffee. Bring a care package to your neighbor leaving for college this week! Make a fleece throw for a friend who is sick. Care for your wife as she reacts severely to the COVID vaccine. Get your teaching partner some coffee this morning! Wish everyone you come in contact with a ‘Happy Wednesday”. Fold laundry your mom doesn’t have to. Make your children breakfast and smother them with kisses and hugs. Text someone positive affirmations. Shovel neighbor’s walk. Surprise a friend who is down with balloons today.
