Prog metal fans are such snobs, too; "if it doesn't have odd meters, truncated polymeters, a bunch of wankery, a key shift, and at least one tempo modulation, then I'm not listening to it".

after some point in the 80s 90s prog went shit, only a few group that are worthwhile like first few albums of gentle giant, crimson king and early camel
