By now I think it's regulated for formal communication or business purposes, it lucked out when it did, right place right time and all. But there's not much of a reason for it to keep existing nowadays when you have more popular (informal) alternatives like Discord or Zoom (formal).

I really like the idea of Myspace, just because it was a social media centered around music and music culture at the time. There's not really a neat hub on the internet anymore for young people. Facebook got turned into a retirement home, TikTok is just a media consumption playground with no engagement between it's users, and Discord is often degenerate and awkward, very clunky and can be a pedo's nest in it's worst case scenario.
