i'm kind of neutral on them because I never actually sat down and listened to their music in full apart from the biggest hits whenever they came up or something
they're fine i guess, I don't dislike them

Maybe in boomer times they were good but nowadays hardly, they still have some good music and Lennon was a good singer and a songwriter

Yes. I like Power Pop as a whole and some Merseybeat as well. And I know a lot of people shit on George's solo career but I honestly don't think it was as bad as people say it was, he's just considered worse because he has to live up to the nearly impossible standard of Paul and John, and his reputation as a former Beatle.
Anyway, solo career ranking: Paul > John & George (tied) > Ringo

Great songwriters but middling instrumentalists, they relied a lot on studio gimmicks and George Martin to get somewhere. They put out their best shit in 1965-1967.
