Discussion Do people actually like Star Wars on its own merit or is it just childhood nostalgia?

The first time I watched the Star Wars movies was as an adult, and they were some of the blandest most forgettable pieces of media I've ever consoomed

My dad still watches that shit. and he's hitting his mid 50's. I remember watching some of the disney+ stuff with him and honestly did not really enjoy it, but didn't really think it was good, it's all mediocre honestly, so it's most likely nostalgia.

The only Star Wars movies I ever watched was Rogue One and The Last Jedi and both of them sucked
