I really might just buy a rog flow at this point, wish we could just have laptops with gamer specs without the gay gamer aesthetic...

Why not get a computer doe?
I have a heckin' desktoperino at home, but I commute to school. Cannot bring 30lb desktop with me along with peripherals, monitor, etc, carry that all in my backpack, pull it all out, and then proceed to spend 10 minutes setting it all up in class like some giga.

i dont know if this is smart but since I already have a decent gpu in my pee cee at home for college i want to buy a normal laptop (with actually good battery life) and then get an eGPU enclosure for my dorm o algo
Ive heard eGPU has shitty performance and crashes often doe so idk

Not really even for gaming albeit, the only game I'd play on it would be like factorio. You can run factorio on anything. It's just stupid that that some of these laptops from ASUS are over $2,000 yet only have 60hz displays. Muh heckin' battery life argumenterino doesn't work here because they're all like 4k oled w/ discrete gpus + you could just cap the refresh rate yourself if you really wanted to, it just makes no sense and it feels like they're cutting corners.

Heckin' removing and replacing gpu is le bad according to manufacturer evendoughie you could do that. Thunderbolt can only support so much, so it depends on what GPU you'd put in the enclosure, you'd probably be better off just buying an actual egpu. I've seen older 1080 egpus go on the used market place for like $100 before.
