Bothered about not being to see the past clearly

Business, numbers, money, people.
Even as a kid I was fascinated with the world before my birth (especially the 1980s/1990s) just because a lot of my interests were getting started back then and my parents were young adults during those eras. I've always viewed them through rose-tinted glasses that I don't even really have, because of memories my parents told me about.
Despite everything I'm frustrated because I'll never get to see what the world looked like back then without viewing it through some sort of translucent "window" (camera hardware limitations of the time). The 80s will forever be perceived by me as blurry VHS tapes since I wasn't there.
I couldn't really find anyone else talking about this kind of thing, maybe it's a unique thing to me. Just wondering if anyone else has ever thought about this.

This is really the closest thing I could find but it's not perfect, mainly because it's too "cinematic". I want to see people 30 years ago having casual conversations without it being from a movie.

On one hand I think I'd be happier back then. On the other hand, i think that I would just end up being a hateful miserable faggot, except in the 90s.
Idk, look out for local 80s/90s cover bands, those shows are usually full of oldfags and larpers. It's probably the closest you can get.

Also the 60s-70s mog. I transheart Syd Barrett, The Beach Boys, and government sponsored LSD
