I have over one thousand five hundred hours on CS2, most of which were racked up when the game was known as CS:GO. I've lost my passion for the game, it's boring to me now. I had felt that way even before the release of CS2, which ended up being a letdown as it was just an engine overhaul with almost no new content. I'm seeking a competitive alternative but whatever it is, I find it just doesn't fill the void. Up until recently, The Finals completely satisfied my desire for a competitive FPS experience, but with the recent changes to its competitive modes, it just isn't the same. I even tried to boot up Valorant, a game that I had played on and off since its inception. After logging in, I was greeted with a message informing me of my permanent suspension for use of "3rd party software" when I hadn't even played the game in months. Shit sucks, man. Maybe I'll buy the next COD and try to stick with that... or maybe I'm just slowly growing out of videogaming entirely.
