Discussion At what age did you start listening to music and what was your first genre?

I started listening to chiptune (Chipzel, Anamanaguchi, Dubmood and game OSTs in general) when I was 14, I think
but few years later someone heard what I was listening to and called it "mario music" so I stopped listening to music for 3 years in shame

i have always listened to music but I had an incident when I was like 12 or something and I did not realize the headphones were not plugged so I was playing Holy Diver by DIO at full volume so I got embarrassed and quit listening to music all together for a while
