This, I did say that, because the main problem with trans identification in my opinion is that they often delude themselves and expect others to play along. Every detransitioner I've seen had a reasoning of "I could never become a real (wo)man and realized it wasn't worth it" while every tranny who seems less miserable/disconnected accepts that they're roleplaying as the opposite sex. I think it shouldn't be the first-line option but if they can't heal in any other way then yeah, they might find less suffering in cross-sex HRT.

It's still kind of dangerous, but it's like saying antipsychotics should be banned.
