Going on another vacation to some states up north tomorrow so I'll be gone for a little while
Was on a vacation to go see some distant family for the past few days. It was fun and generally uneventful.
Haven’t had internet for about two days because a storm that rolled in Saturday night messed some local stuff up in my town. Have had to just use my phone’s data since then. Maybe tomorrow it’ll be back up (there’s no established estimate), but it’s a great inconvenience at the moment.
Going on a kayaking trip with some friends on a local river for most of the day today
One negative aspect of the local churches in my area is that they're near-entirely packed with old people, and many of these churches may soon empty out to near entirety in a few decades because of this demographic imbalance. A member of my church, an old fellow, perhaps in his later '70s, died this morning. I just shook his hand last week. Saddening.
