There isn't a "process", there isn't a meter of "how much" or "how less" he is. He still is in such a sorry-state, or he isn't at all, and, if he is even somewhat wise, he will realize that the pursuit of one ultimate truth of himself is far better for his well-being than the pursuit of yet another lie.
