Pinkie is my favourite since she's a happy positive pony that always makes other ponies smile, she is pretty talented also as she knows how to play multiple instruments plus is a great baker, her design is also pretty good, having a nice shade of pink.

I also like Octavia since she not only has a great design, but also plays the cello which though I am not well-versed with, sounds like a great instrument. Since we don't really know what her personality is like other than from the episode about the background ponies, which shows her being roommates with Vinyl, she isn't my favourite but my close second.

Pinkie sometimes can become really sad which makes her revert to her personality from when she lived on the rock farm with her family, which makes her become Pinkamena, which was her full name. Pinkamena is also a pretty good character because it shows that she isn't always happy and sometimes things or events can just make her sad or even manic
