so it’s this leaf paste essentially that we let develop over night after mixed with lemon juice , and it reacts with the keratin in your skin and the heat to stain it
we make a cone shaped thing to draw it on (imagine piping icing bag but on a smaller scale) with a very thin tip so we can squeeze it out in pretty patterns
it’s a brown people kinda thing
south asians, central asians and arabs specifically
africans too from north to west n east i think cuz the henna plant only grows in hot areas
Yeah I don't understand how the whole skin showing thing works, like showing skin of your hands is fine but not the feet ig ? Ever go swimming or sum ?
censored my toes mainly because everytime i don’t someone likes to zoom in take a pic and just spam the photo.. maybe that’s just a ‘cord thing but ppl r creepy!!
also in islam there are 4 main schools of thought that differ each with a couple opinions , in hanafi opinion feet are not meant to be shown but everyone else agrees that it’s ok
i don’t mind showing my feet i think it’s more advised against than haram
I think if it’s something interesting about yourself you should be able to post it. It’s only an unnecessary post if there’s nothing to talk about from it. Sparkles’ post generated conversation about hand art and Islamic views on the censoring of feet. Not insanely intriguing topics, but these things still provoked some thought.
literally jusr came on here to introduce u guys to concepts/ideas you probably don’t think of from a different perspective - i’m the polar opposite of alot of you so it’s interesting to share different things about me and see what convo it brings
