thank you saar. sadly, trying to get any traction with nutopia nowadays has resulting in quote going full ragenigger mode on us.

the following stuff is in play:
1) every single member who has ever made or posted positively on a nutopia thread has been perma rule 3 banned,
2) having 'nutopia' in your thread title autobans you,

3) 'soytopia.party', the raw ip for the server, and a bunch of alterations now get wordfiltered to mistopia's ip (KEK)
4) the last sesh (which failed horrifically for mist and is why he's not doing any more gamenights) he permabanned a handful of nutopia regulars for simply posting the ip

we have had a few game nights since, but few break 20 players due to these nerfs. SAD. additionally, there are whispers that valve is starting to suppress chud content due to an ongoing ADL lawsuit:

How did the last tf2 session go so bad Mist doesn't host any anymore? I'm not really a huge tf2 dude myself despite having ~500 hours on it on steam, I mostly keep to my own with css and hldm. I'm sorry Quote and Mist act so anal about your server because they're just incompitent when it comes to this type of thing.

Quote let me use soyjak.st for my css server's FastDL because I wanted to host a few custom stages and for like a month it didn't work so i ended up just using github to host my maps and after changing absolutely nothing in my server.cfg except the fastdl's domain it worked immediately. Personally I don't know how Mist wanted to run his server when he can't even work simple backend stuff out like that.

If you want I can try to work a deal out to get all the mumbo jumbo relating to nutopia on the party done, Mist hardly even hosts gamenights at this point so I think it'd be not too hard to convince him.

mist and I actually did sit down in the past and try to work this out, to be clear:
- we had fully agreed that we could merge
- I was willing to give mist his admin perms on nutopia
- it was basically fully agreed to
- then quote completely chimped out and veto'd it for 0 reason
- he forbid mist from ever coming to an agreement like that again
very homo, very emotionally driven. it's SAD.

and that's basically mistopia in a nutshell... mist pretends to run the frontend (and maybe he does, barely?), but quote has all the real decision making power... and it shows by how poorly the server runs (even to this day)

Informative, didn't know Quote was actually the one who ran everything I had assumed he just ran the server stuff because he was asked to, shame. I don't get it myself because it all seems so gay to fight over a game server (one which I don't think Quote even plays on, if he has I never seen it).

if he has joined he's never announced himself, so either he a) leaves all the "interacting with players" stuff to mist while keeping all the real power or

b) plays anonymously under an alias and STILL lets mist misplay on some of the stuff like fucking up the fastdl config, mishandling bans (some players joke about being in pedo groups constantly with impunity and god... have you seen some of the shit people spray on there...?)
