Imagine the taste. Rabbit meat is allegedly very healthy. I wonder if rabbit farming is falling out of favor because people don’t like the idea of killing rabbits or if the meat tastes bad…
I've never had rabbit meat. People usually breed meat rabbits (domesticated rabbits) on farms. Most of these rabbits are treated well and have good lives. I am personally looking into having one or two as a pet later in my life.
I had a pet rabbit (might have just been a wild one geg). I don’t think rabbits make good pets. They aren’t as interactive as cats and dogs, they are messy, they require constant care, and they are extremely fragile. Even the meanest cats will let one person pet and hold them. Rabbits don’t seem to ever be into it, regardless of disposition.
Owning a high metabolism mammal that keeps you from traveling and isn’t personable isn’t my cup of tea, but maybe it is yours… just my opinion however, I’d avoid them. The odds you’ll get that 1/1000 rabbit you see doing tricks on TikTok and shitting for 23 hours a day off camera is low.
