I hate the culture war/asinine minute non-political turned """political""" (which is still social, not political) bullshit that people spew, but I will say, I'm kind of shocked that more leftists didn't take the view that "AI and AI art is le good" but instead condemn it because of "muh data, muh jobs". AI and AI art is inherently a progressive view, not a conservative one.

Left = Progressive, I'm not saying there wouldn't be Conservatives or rightists infactuated, intrigued and for AI and shit like that, but it would be the economic/capitalists specifically who would be enthralled with the technology for monetary gain and making the process "smoother" while the Religious Conservatives would not be too keen on AI, they would likely see it as demonic or inherently evil.

Leftists being against AI, for lack of a better term would be hypocritical, because AI is rooted in science and technology and shit that would "progress" society, it's conflictive of their world view, if they can be for and supportive of the first aspect of technology then they can be supportive of the next step in that technology

it's like a pipeline almost sort of like; "Trans rights are human rights therefore gender is a social construct therefore there are as many genders as one can imagine in their head" so should be the same with "Advanced technology is cool by us, computers are cool by us, smartphones are cool by us, AI is not cool by us doe"

TL;DR Progressives go the full mile, they don't stop half-way there unless they aren't true progressives/are LARPing.
