i would suggest that it's more of an equal fight, and if they ever met the tyrannosaurus wouldn't attempt to engage as they probably knew that it was more dangerous than other prey

well that could be true, it's bite force was very strong, i'm not sure how to explain it, but i think it would take atleast multiple bites to break through ankylosaurus' armour and breach skin and potentially flip it over, and the club tail would also be harming the t-rex

True. They were probably not eaten most of the time. But I saw videos of a lion pathetically picking fight with giraffe, now what about T-rex picking fight with someone who is slightly bigger than his head
