  • The day I decide to install FreeBSD just so happened to be the week after they re-named a myriad of packages and seemingly deleted some outright.

Plasma, GNOME and XFCE wouldn't work, NVIDIA and Xorg had me going in circles (no display found, framebuffer mode), searching for solutions made me even more confused and even the GitHub auto-installers for installing DEs were broken due to the aforementioned renaming of packages. 3 hours, gone. ReactOS, please leave beta for the love of God. Slackware was also useless as it simply refused to boot after installation.

I tried to install GNOME on my Stinkpads FreeBSD just to see if it shows up as a package now and it works? Sure man.
Systemd is freaking out on boot and rejecting my home partition. I try to fix the partition itself with fsck yet it changes zilch. I might run BSD on the desktop, this blows. Thanks Systemd!

I only mention BSD because I'm far too used to using it on my laptop, and I'm far too used to Arch and its weird kinks on the desktop to use a Debian-based distro and I cannot get Artix to work right with Nvidia drivers. I could try Slackware I suppose but I'm not certain if it'll be worth the headache.
