You see led bulbs are super efficient in their power consumption and regularly only consume 1 watt for 9 lumens so that's a lot more efficient then the previous generation of Fluorescent bulbs

And they don't need gas to keep a static charge so they can run even if the glass shatters. They're also more white due to the lack of gas
