ok it's very simple.
I kidnap a raccoon with rabies that isn't showing symptoms yet and put it in a small room with Rocket.
the raccoon would probably bite him, and he'd be infected. he'd get a bit weaker over time, and that's ok
he'll lose most of his functions, therefore rendering his ability to fly and shoot lasers useless
then all I have to do is wear a nice suit of armor while fighting him, since he'll be very weak and won't be able to bite through
